Careers in Healthcare

August 25th, 2008 by BC

Some of the most promising careers in America today are those in the healthcare industry. There are several different types of jobs that are available besides doctors, including nursing, medical billing, medical law, medical assistant and massage therapy. These positions are in demand and can be earned in as little as 12 months. Checking around and doing research will help you decide which career to pursue in the healthcare industry.

You could be working in a new and rewarding field in just a short time with some of the educational resources like the healthcare programs in CO. Opportunities in the healthcare industry will be around as long as there are people that have illnesses. You don’t even have to spend all of those years training to be a physician either. An Associate of Applied Science Degree can be obtained in Allied Health at Sanford Brown College St. Peters in as short as 20 weeks. Actually, they have many healthcare courses to pick from.

So, if you are looking to change careers or just starting a new one out of high school, consider a career in healthcare and feel a sense of security. Other careers may fade out, but healthcare will be needed forever.

Choose a Career You’ll Like

July 7th, 2008 by bCar

The American dream is the self-made man, but the American reality is working for someone else in a job you hate.  I see so many people choose careers based on how successful they think they’ll be and how much money they think they’ll make, but most of them end up unhappy.

I define success in a different way — the ability to make a living doing something you love.  No, it’s not always easy, but success isn’t supposed to come easily — everyone knows that.  The challenge just ought to be making it in a job you love, rather than making lots of money or climbing the ranks in a job you hate.

When choosing your future career, mine your day-to-day life for what you enjoy doing.  These are the things you should be considering, not careers you’ll hate just because you think they’ll make you rich, or they’ll be easy to get ahead in.

Now think about what you can do it help you get started in these industries, and perhaps even get a jump start on your peers.  Going to school and getting a degree in the industry is always a good idea.  Experience also helps, so consider trying entry level jobs and internships while you pursue your education.  If you can get a job, you might also consider trying it out before you register for school.

For instance, if you love to cook and you want to explore your career options in the culinary arts, you could get an entry level job to see how you like it.  You could also take a few cooking classes at a culinary school in Seattle.  Just make sure that if you decide to continue on in the industry, that you get your degree — it’ll really make a difference in your career in the long run!

Combine your design talent with technology for a great career

June 18th, 2008 by BC

Most businesses on the internet today understand the importance of a good web presence. Many business owners, however, lack the skills to create their own navigational websites. They pay a good deal of money to a professional web designer to construct a site consisting of graphics, animated images and appealing visual images. These are all things that are taught in the multimedia design program at IADT Orlando, one of the top recommended schools for design careers.

Nowadays, there are very many young people that are familiar with web design. Some may call them computer nerds because of the advanced computer knowledge that they have. Some middle school age children know more about web design than older folks because they are a part of a much more ‘technology-savvy’ generation. They may even know that “CSS” stands for Cascading Style Sheets and be able to code an HTML layout - just imagine their career possibilities as they graduate high school.

The Bureau of Labor reports that the prospect of employment is the greatest for skilled web designers over all other design professionals. That makes it a bonus to be a computer nerd, because with natural talent and a degree in multimedia design comes an opportunity to enter an industry that is very much in demand.
