I think that I have officially heard it all now. The other day, a friend of mine was telling me that you can get a golf associate degree. I didn’t know this, but there are apparently golf colleges that people can attend in order to study for a career in golf.
I would have never guessed that you could go to a school specifically for that. I know that people can train to be better golfers, but for other golf related career, I just assumed that a normal college degree would suffice. Going to college for golf, other than to play golf on a collegiate team, just never came to my mind as a career option for people.
Of course, it does make sense that there are schools out there to prepare people for the golf industry. At the same time, I don’t know how many people could really take a degree in golf seriously. Granted, I think it might be a lot of fun. Instead of skipping class to go play golf, you could just go to your next class and get credit for playing golf.
I do realize that the school is a little more serious than that. I know there are many different types of lucrative careers outside physically playing golf. A school like this would be great for preparing students for a golf career. I just wonder if the teachers hold up a “quiet please” sign when they begin class.

Some students simply have difficulty learning in the classroom. They may be able to read on their own and complete the assignments when given as homework, but when it comes to lectures and learning in the classroom, they have difficulty deciphering the important information. Because of this, it might be best if the student receives Northern Virginia tutoring services to help them learn the subjects that they are having difficulty with.
The nice thing about most Northern Virginia private tutoring services is that they are able to teach children from the comfort of their own home. Most children are most comfortable in their own house and Montgomery County tutoring services know this, therefore they take the learning right inside the home. One benefit to teaching a child in the comfort of their own home is that it can get the whole family involved in the learning process. Parents can learn different skills and techniques to help their children with homework assignments. Teaching a student in their own home is mutually beneficial for the parents and the child because the student is given reinforcement at home helping them to succeed in the classroom and the parents have the satisfaction of knowing they can help their child succeed.

When I started the search for a college that was going to suit me, I had no idea what I wanted in a school. I wasn’t even sure whether I wanted to get a two-year or four-year degree. Ultimately, I ended up getting both. Along the way, I learned a lot about how to make choices regarding education.
Here are some of the tips that I picked up for choosing an associate degree program when you aren’t quite sure what you want to do with your degree:
- Choose a degree that is going to offer you employment immediately upon graduation. For example, you might do a criminal justice associate degree online so you can work in the courts, law enforcement or social service sectors after you graduate.
- Choose a degree that will also segue easily into a bachelors degree program. For example, a public administration bachelor degree is easy to get after starting the same degree in an associate program.
- Choose something that you’re at least moderately excited about. Yes, it’s school. Yes, it’s for the purpose of getting a job. But you shouldn’t hate what you do so keep searching until you find something you’d really like to study.
The thing that I learned over and over again in different ways was that you have to make choices about your education that will suit you immediately but also make sense for you in the long run. If you try to keep this in mind, you should find yourself capable of choosing a good associate degree program and the best online colleges.
